Bio

D.B. Kind is a Portland, Oregon-based singer-songwriter who brings a unique take on traditional Americana. Blending blues, country, and folk with a modern edge, his music is heartfelt, rhythmic, and deeply rooted in introspection and narrative.

Known for his one-man-band style, D.B. plays fingerstyle guitar and foot percussion at the same time, creating a full, rich sound that feels like a whole group is on stage. His songs range from personal and reflective to upbeat and soulful, taking listeners on a journey that feels both familiar and new.

When he’s not performing solo, D.B. is joined by a rotating lineup of friends on harmonica, guitar, or keys—adding extra flavor to his already dynamic live shows.

His sound draws inspiration from acoustic country and folk, layered with the raw energy of hill country blues. It’s a unique mix that gets people moving and listening closely.

Originally from rural Kansas, D.B. released Little Stranger under the name DB Tualafide in 2022, a tribute to his Midwest roots. His next project, the Pacific Midwest EP, connected those roots with his new home in the Pacific Northwest.

D.B. Kind’s next full-length album is set to release in late summer 2025.
